The Foundation "City of Joy" opened the doors of the "Oasis of the Father", a home designed to help and protect more than fifty elderly persons in need.

Bishop Jorge Bernal Vargas,L.C., presided over the opening of the new home for the elderly. The Bishop of Cancun - Chetumal celebrated a Holy Mass in the new center.

During the celebration, the Bishop reflected on Pentecost: "It is the work of the Holy Spirit, the only one that guides our steps, to keep on the correct road and to serve the ones in need".

Bishop Bernal was joined in a ribbon-cutting ceremony and blessing of the center by Mother Luz Maria Espinoza Herrera, superior of the Discalced Carmiltes who will take care of the residence.
