Germany, August 1st. There will be free live entertainment from top Catholic bands, free internet access, and don’t forget the gourmet coffee! It will flow all day and into the night! But that is not all that will be flowing at this Coffee House: many graces will flow as well.  Mass, confession and spiritual direction will be available, and Eucharistic Adoration for Vocations will be attended by thousands.  Not your typical Coffee House you say?  The vocation.com Coffee House at World Youth Day in Cologne, Germany, is unique to say the least! It has all the features of the www.vocation.com website, “live and in color!”  Youth can grab an affordable bite to eat, check email, listen to the best in live Catholic entertainment and hear great testimonies from Cardinals, Bishops, priests and consecrated men and women who have answered God’s call.  
 
The vocation.com Coffee House is located at the Senats Hotel, Unter Goldschmied 9 -17, 50667 Cologne, about 200 meters from the Cologne Cathedral. Open from 2pm-11pm August 15-19, the coffee house will close only for a few hours on August 16th from 5pm-7pm for the WYD opening ceremonies and for the arrival of the Holy Father on August 18th from 4:30pm-7pm.  Vocation.com is a service of the Legionaries of Christ and Regnum Christ in collaboration with the vocation directors of several dioceses, promoting vocations to all walks of consecrated life and the priesthood, both in dioceses and in religious congregations.

An estimated one million youth are expected to attend WYD this year and the vocation.com Coffee House expects thousands of visitors every day!  Volunteers from the United States, Mexico, and Germany, and Canada will be on hand to keep the Coffee House running smoothly and offer all the services of the vocation.com website “live and in person!”  It is no easy task but one the vocation.com staff has had experience with, having put on successful coffee houses at WYD in Toronto and at major Catholic conferences in various cities.
