Edmund Pellegrino

Rome, May 2, 29007. Professor Edmund Pellegrino, Chair of the President’s Council for Bioethics in the United States of America, participated in a conference on the theme “Justice in Health” on April 20, 2007.  The event was organized by the Bioethics Department of the Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum in Rome.

Dr. Pellegrino related his experience in the field of bioethics, especially drawing on his extensive experience in medical ethics.  Dr. Pellegrino is the founder of the Center for Clinical Ethics at Georgetown University, an honorary member of the Pontifical Academy for Life, and member of the Scientific Council for the Bioethics Faculty of the Pontifical Athenaeum of the Legionaries of Christ.
