Atlanta, August 6, 2007. – I am
the copy writer and editor at Mission Network in
Cumming, Georgia. My days are spent writing, reviewing and editing
text for printed materials and the Internet.
My work is
all about transforming words and phrases into effective messages. A
typical work day involves large quantities of music for inspiration
and creativity.
I recently came across a new album entitled,
“Always Forward” that I just can’t get enough of by
musician Joel Stein.
Now, I’ve shared my office with Mission
Network web developer, Joel Stein for almost six months and
was quite surprised to discover that this “web guy” is
also a talented musician and budding rock star. Joel Stein
is also a member of Regnum Christi.
His contemporary Christian rock
album excels with upbeat lyrics and catchy songs that inspire
and motivate.
“It’s always been a dream of mine to
release a CD and share my music with others,” Joel
told me. “I’ve always enjoyed writing songs. And to be
able to share my faith through music is a great
blessing.”
The album was produced by David Smith of Icon
Music Studio. Stein wrote 12 of the 14 songs and
co-authored the final two songs with Smith.
The album title, “Always
Forward” is inspired by a quote from Fr. Maciel, LC
in a letter where he says, “Forward! Always forward! Let
us be brave! Struggle to the end, come what may!
Like the great eagles, always higher and always further!”
Songs
“Thy Kingdom Come,” “Time and Eternity” and “Press On” also
focus on certain aspects of the Regnum Christi charism –
apostolic dynamism, the appropriate use of time, and perseverance.
My personal
favorite, entitled, “Save the Family,” is a rich and profound
commentary on society and the great need for strong and

faithful families in our world.
The album is available for
purchase at www.JoelSteinMusic.com and offers free audio clips. Or
you can pick up the album in person from the
“web guy” himself, at Mission Network headquarters.
Stein’s music resonates with
human emotion and inspires perseverance. It’s also a great aid
to me when I suffer from the occasional writer’s block.
