From her earliest days as a CK Net girl,
and later on as a Challenge member and Regnum Christi member, Mary Angela Fisher has grown up as
an apostle of the airwaves.
She first started broadcasting on the
radio at the age of 5 with her mother, Carol,
who started up the Carol Fisher Network in 1997.
Back then, she was in charge of interviewing guests, sharing
virtue stories, and giving mini-catecheses for the children’s program of
the show.
Now, at the age of 16, she is
still on the airwaves reaching out to her peers. In

her latest ten-minute broadcast, Mary Angela speaks to the youth
on how to prepare for Pope Benedict XVI’s apostolic visit
to the United States. Entitled “Christ Our Hope,” the
program is airing on WVOA Radio in Syracuse, NY and
on the Global Carol Fisher Network via Internet at 3:30,
7:30, and 10:30 (both a.m. and p.m.) for youth, parents,
and youth ministers to tap into as a free service,
teen to teen.
In addition to giving the youth pointers on
how to prepare for the visit, Mary Angela relates her
experiences of seeing Popes John Paul II and Benedict XVI
in person. She also shares the prayer for the pope
that she and her classmates at Immaculate Conception Academy pray

every day for the Pope.
Mary Angela’s regular program, a mix
of current and rebroadcasts of her earlier programs for children,
can be heard Wednesday evenings at 7 PM on WVOA
FM, Love Radio in CNY 103.9, 95.3, 98.1 and 101.5
and also on the Internet are at 2 & 8
PM daily at www.carolfishernetwork.com.
The Carol Fisher Network is
a Catholic radio programming show which aims to offer families
an alternative resource for positive, uplifting programming with a mix
of Catholic music and talk shows. In addition to Mary
Angela’s regular broadcasts, recent talk show series have included topics
such as “My Call from God,” a series of vocation
stories told firsthand by priests; “Living with Cancer” on how

Bonomo” on financial planning; and “Great Heroes of the Christian

features Catholic music, including Carol Fisher’s own original songs. The
