March 24, 2010. The RC Mission Corps, formerly called
the coworker program, is a volunteer program that offers youth
the opportunity to give one to three years of full-time
service in Regnum Christi. Volunteers live and work alongside Legionary
priests or consecrated women, living an intense apostolic and prayer
life.
The young men’s branch of the program is now more
fully explained with an 8-page informational brochure (click
here to read) answering a prospective volunteer’s questions. The topics
covered in the brochure include:
1. What is Regnum Christi?
2. What is
the RC Mission Corps?
3. What formation will I receive as
part of the RC Mission Corps?
4. A typical day in
the RC Mission Corps
5. Some practical aspects
- Requirements
- Calendar
- Expenses
- Things to bring
For young men who are interested in giving
a year starting this summer, the deadline for application is
June 15. The month-long training program begins on June 22,
and the volunteers depart for their domestic or international assignments
on August 29.
One of the program highlights is the
December pilgrimage to Rome and Jerusalem, which has become a
tradition for both the young men and the young women.
