May 24, 2010. This upcoming July 12 – 22, the
Institute of Higher Studies on Women will be partnering with
the Pontifical Regina Apostolorum College and the European University of
Rome to offer an international summer course on “The Female
Condition Today: Contemporary Challenges.” The course will be held on
campus at the Regina Apostolorum.
The purpose of the course
is to “promote a greater awareness of women’s invaluable role
in today’s world and to provide women with the tools
they need to respond to the unique demands placed upon
them by modern society.”
It is primarily intended for professionals;
members of associations, NGOs, and companies; local and regional authority
officials; students; and anyone who wants to get acquainted with
women’s issues and share their knowledge and experiences.
The course will
unfold in four two-day seminars:
• “Towards a discovery of
women’s dignity” (July 12-13)
• “The feminine condition today: challenges in
society” (July 14-16)
• “The family: a treasure that deserves international
protection” (July 19-20)
• “Women and bioethical questions” (July 21-22)
