August 2, 2010. Cornwall, Canada. This past July 24, Legionaries
Pierre Caouette, Janick Caouette, and Denis Tassé were ordained to
the diaconate in the Cathedral of the Nativity in Cornwall,
in the province of Ontario.
Bishop Paul-André Durocher, of the
diocese of Alexandria-Cornwall, performed the ordination, which was attended by
about 250 guests. The Legionary novices from Cornwall served as
acolytes in the Mass, and a group of brothers studying
humanities in Cheshire, Connecticut traveled up to sing in the
choir.
In his homily, Bishop Durocher emphasized the importance of the
diaconate in the life of the Church, since each diaconate

represents the entire Church in her service to men.
After
the ceremony, the newly ordained deacons and their families gathered
at the apostolic school and novitiate in Cornwall for the
reception.
Let us keep these new deacons in our prayers as
they prepare for their priestly ordination this upcoming December 24
in Rome.

eleven diaconal ordination ceremonies is available for viewing at this link.
