Greenville, Rhode Island, Nov. 22, 2010 -- In honor
of World Communication Day this year, Pope Benedict XVI said:
“Responding adequately to the challenge amid today’s cultural shifts,
to which young people are especially sensitive, necessarily involves
using new communications technologies. The world of digital
communication, with its almost limitless expressive capacity, makes us
appreciate all the more Saint Paul’s exclamation, ‘Woe to me
if I do not preach the Gospel.’” (1 Cor
9:16)
The Regnum Christi consecrated women have taken this
message as a call to evangelize using one of today’s
most popular social networks on the Internet, Facebook.
Katie Tuttle,
a consecrated woman involved with the project, said, “We
hope that by having a Facebook page from the consecrated
women of Regnum Christi, we will be able to
reach more people where they are, given its broad
audience. I think the interactive nature of Facebook helps
us to better communicate our life and mission as
consecrated women, and to more effectively evangelize!”
Tuttle encourages RC
members and friends to take a look at the
new page and join our consecrated women’s growing network of
online friends! To see the Facebook page, click
