Madrid, Spain, November 24, 2010 -- Young people interested in
attending the August 2011 World Youth Day might be interested
in an initiative on the website Catholic.net.
The website
is accepting submissions in a special essay contest, for which
the prize for the “most inspiring” and “well written” entry
is a fully-paid trip to World Youth Day in Madrid,
Spain. Young writers need to address the topic “How did
you find God?”
“We are already receiving essays in several languages,
including Spanish, English, and Italian,” said Father Nathaniel Haslam, LC.
He said a group of priests and religious in Rome
are sponsoring the contest.
Essays should not exceed 700 words. Young
people of any nationality between the ages of 16 to
28 are eligible to enter, and there is no cost.
Entries are due by December 31, 2010. To enter your

The winner will be named
on the Catholic.net website on February 14, 2011.
