| The week-long retreat has two tracks: a "Test Your Call" track for those considering a vocation to the Legion, a "God's Plan for Your Soul" track for those who want a God's-eye view of their life. | |

Cheshire, Connecticut -- Are you “All-In” for spending some of
the Christmas season in Cheshire, Connecticut? The Legion of Christ
seminarians want to know. They are inviting young men ages
15 and up who might be discerning a vocation, or
just discerning their path in life, to come to their
home in Cheshire for a week-long retreat December 27-January 2.
Participants will climb aboard one of three buses on the
“All-In” Tour traveling across the USA. One bus will leave
from Atlanta, Georgia, another from Chicago, Illinois, and finally one
from Dallas, Texas. (The Dallas bus will pass through the
state of Louisiana on the way.)
Once at Cheshire,
participants can choose one of two retreat “tracks,” including the
“Test Your Call” (TYC) retreat for those who think God
may be calling them to become a Legionary of Christ.
The other is the “God’s Plan for Your Soul” (GPS)
retreat for those who want to get a “God’s-eye” view
of their life and discern God’s will for their particular
path to attain happiness.
Fr. Justin Kielhorn, director of vocations
for the Legion, stressed that the GPS track is a
“wide open” retreat for all young men, no matter what
God may be calling them to do. Fr. Justin suggests
the retreat would be appropriate for youth group ministers and
vocation directors. “They will come back from this retreat ready
to evangelize other young men,” he said.
“The All-In Tour
is a bus ride you do not want to miss!”
he said. “From the moment you get on, you could
be swept up in a whirlwind of grace capable of
changing your life forever.”
In addition to guided meditations and inspirational
talks, participants will have the opportunity to attend confession, Eucharistic
adoration and mission activities in Manhattan on New Year’s Eve.
The
retreat cost is $200, covering the bus fare, food and
lodging while at Cheshire. To reserve a spot, call Candy
Nesbit at Elite Travel at 203-271-0623 or email her at
elitetravelcandy@snet.net. All registrations must be in no later than
November 30, 2011. For more information on the retreat and
the GPS or TYC tracks, go to www.gpsconnection.org.
