New
York City, NY -- Regnum Christi families, members of the
RC Mission Corps and Mission Youth, Legionaires and RC consecrated
women were busy evangelizing in New York City during Holy
Week 2012.
Msgr. Don Sakano,
pastor of St. Patrick’s Old Cathedral, said, “Due to all
the street evangelization here during Holy Week, we at the
Old Cathedral will be experiencing the ‘buzz’ for weeks. I cannot begin to tell you about the many
stories I have heard already and will hear from local
people about your outstanding presence in the neighborhood.
It is truly unique, but one we should do more
often (hint, hint.)”
Along with many other
activities, Mission Youth members sponsored a prayerful walk through Manhattan
carrying a large wooden cross on Good Friday.
They talked with bystanders and accepted prayer intentions which they
nailed to the cross. Click here for the
video.
The members of the
RC Mission Corps and Mission Youth also staged a dramatic
recreation of the Stations of the Cross in the Soho
area, starting and ending at St. Patrick’s. Click
