Cardinal Velasio de Paolis has released
a statement with the appointments to the new government of
consecrated men and women of Regnum Christi. The
appointments were made by the cardinal following a consultation done
with all the consecrated men and women.
Dr. Jorge Lopez has been named general head (responsable general)
of the consecrated men. Assisting him as council
members will be Bernardo Perez, Alberto Garcia, Cristian Nazer and
Diego de Robina.
The Papal Delegate also
appointed Hector Bracho to be the head for the territories

of Mexico and South America, with Jesus Torres and Jose
Mateos as his advisors, and Matthew Reinhart for the territory
of Europe and the U.S., with Emilio Martinez and Manuel
Cordero as advisors.
Gloria Rodriguez has been
named General Head (responsable general) of the Regnum Christi consecrated
women. Assisting her as council members will be
Luly Fernandez, Paula Errázurriz, Mari Carmen Avila and Mary Patt
Pirie.
Dr. Lopez was born on July
24, 1963 in Madrid, Spain. He entered the consecrated life
in Regnum Christi in 1981. On August 29, 1983 he
made his solemn promises. After completing a degree in economics
and business, he served as vice director of the formation
center for consecrated in Spain, and then as administrator of
the Anahuac University in Mexico City from 1989 to 1995. He has also served as assistant to the
territorial director for schools in the territories of Mexico and
Monterrey and assistant for the apostolate in the territory of
Mexico. Since 2009 he has been the rector of the
Anahuac University in Mexico City and vice director of the
community at the headquarters of the territorial directorate of the
Legion of Christ in the territory of Mexico.
Most recently, he has combined his apostolic work with specialized
studies in business administration and two doctorates in management, organizational
theory and culture, and in education from the Complutense University
of Madrid.
Gloria Rodriguez was born in
Madrid on March 18, 1975.

She was a student of
the Everest School in Madrid and a member of Regnum
Christi. She studied psychology at the Complutense University
of Madrid. Gloria made her consecration on August
30, 1998 and solemnly renewed her promises on August 22,
2000. She studied at the formation center in
Monterrey and served as vice director in the precandidacy there
for two years. She later served in Barcelona
as director of the center for consecrated women and for
the Highlands school (Barcelona), and then as the vice-director for
the formation center in Madrid and for the center in
Rome. Gloria is currently the assistant to the
territorial director for Western and Central Europe and director of
the center of consecrated women in Düsseldorf, Germany.
We entrust to God these appointments and the whole
renewal process for consecrated life in Regnum Christi which is
taking place under the guidance of the papal delegate.
