YouTube might not be the first place you look to get spiritual direction.  At least, not until now.

The website Catholic Spiritual Direction (CSD), which features the insight of Fr. John Bartunek LC and other Catholic writers, has produced a series of brief videos, with Fr. John, covering various aspects of Catholic Spirituality.  Fr. John is the author of the book The Better Part – A Christ-Centered Resource for Personal Prayer.

The purpose of the CSD site and its related resources is to help those who subscribe to it on their spiritual journey. The website states, “If you are like many Catholics who desire a deeper relationship with Christ and His church, you have probably discovered that the paths to pursuing that relationship are not always clearly illuminated. Thus this humble effort. Our desire is to bring greater light to His path and to serve you in your search for greater depth in Him.”

The site offers:

• Perspective on Spiritual Direction

• Book and Resource Reviews

• Links to Resources for Further Spiritual Development

• Webinars/Online and Interactive Spiritual Development

CSD currently has about 12,000 subscribers.

The YouTube videos will be released once a week, and then posted on the Catholic Spiritual Direction site.  About a dozen have currently been produced.
