Flint, Michigan -- “It was a great day to offer ourselves for the sake of a family in need.” 

These are the words of Fr. Thomas Flynn, Director of the Young Men’s Regnum Christi Section of Southeastern Michigan.  On October 27, 2012, he and nine young men, calling themselves the “Men of Virtue,” took a trip to Flint, Michigan, to work on the construction of a home for Habitat for Humanity.

“We started the day with Mass and then made the trip to Flint,” said Fr. Thomas. “I was really proud of how the guys offered up their Saturday to go and help someone they don’t even know.  They worked so hard that we had to end a half-an-hour early because there was no more work for us to do.  And they had a lot of fun doing it.”

In addition to the adult chaperones, the young men who participated were students from St. Thomas More Academy in Burton, Michigan, Everest Collegiate High School in Clarkston, Michigan, and from the University of Michigan at Flint.
