The Best Teacher

Cumming, Georgia -- A 25-year-veteran teacher at Pinecrest Academy in Cumming, Georgia, has been recognized as Outstanding Teacher of the Year for 2012. 

Mrs. Tita Garcia has 25 years of service in Catholic education and has been a teacher at Pinecrest for 14 years.  She was recognized by the Archdiocese of Atlanta with this annual award for teachers who have “distinguished themselves in the lives of the students they serve through their ministry as Catholic educators.”  Mrs. Garcia was formally recognized at the 2012-2013 Archbishop’s Education Banquet on Monday, February 4, 2013.

virtue and formation for students at Pinecrest,” she has taught in grades from Kindergarten through 12th grade.  She currently teaches Spanish and is the Foreign Language Department Chair at Pinecrest Academy’s High School.
