Legionaries of Christ give the Pope an image of Our Lady of Guadalupe
VATICAN CITY STATE (HOLY SEE) | WHO WE ARE | NEWS

June 26, 2013. (ROMEREPORTS.com) As the Pope made his way through St. Peter´s Square, a group of  priests and seminarians from the Legionaries of Christ,  asked the Pope for a special blessing as it gets ready to leave Rome to serve as missionaries. Moments later, the group gave Pope Francis an image of Our Lady of Guadalupe, the Patroness of the Americas. The Pope was happy to receive it and showed it to the crowd.

During his weekly general audience on Wendesdays, the Pope usually takes about thirty minutes to bless and greet all the pilgrims as he passes by the popemobile.
