On August 14th, 2013, on the eve of her 25th anniversary
as a consecrated woman in Regnum Christi, Catalina Náder left
for the Father’s house. She passed away in Monterrey, Mexico,
after a several-year battle against cancer.
Catalina consecrated her life
to God in Regnum Christi on August 15, 1989. She
made the solemn renewal of her promises of poverty, chastity
and obedience on August 26, 1991. Her apostolic work took
place as director of the Godwin Institute in Mexico City
(1990-1991), in the Everest School in Madrid (1991-1994) and the
Highlands School in Seville, Spain. She served as vice-principal of
the Godwin Institute from 1997-1998, and from 2000-2004 worked in
the Royal Palm Academy in Naples, Florida. In 2005 Catalina
was diagnosed with cancer and was transferred to Monterrey, where
she served in the Regnum Christi women´s section.
On August 15,
solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Mother, Catalina´s funeral
took place in the shrine of Our Lady of Fatima
in San Pedro Garza García, Monterrey, Nuevo León. Her brother
Fr. Luis Náder, L.C. presided, accompanied by about 30 priests,
the majority Legionaries. At the end of the Mass, her
sister María, also a consecrated women in the movement, spoke
words of gratitude on the part of the whole family.
