As summer draws to a close and the school year starts again, it’s a good time to start making plans, including ones to improve your spiritual life. Why not consider planning a 2014 Lenten pilgrimage to the Holy Land? (What a great Christmas present idea!)

From March 6-15, 2014, you could walk in the footsteps of Jesus Christ, accompanied by representatives of the Legionaires of Christ and the consecrated women of Regnum Christi.  Your hosts will be Fr. Scott Reilly LC and Fr. Simon Devereux LC, as well as RC consecrated woman Deb Bauer, President of Mater Ecclesiae College.

Highlights of the pilgrimage will include visits to: the site of the wedding at Cana and an optional renewal of vows for married couples; the Basilica of the Annunciation at Nazareth; the site of the Transfiguration at Mount Tabor; the mount of the Beatitudes;  the site of Jacob’s Well;  Bethlehem and the Basilica of the Nativity;  the Church of the Holy Sepulcher;  a tour of the Via Dolorosa; the mount of Olives;  the Church of the Ascension;  Bethany and the tomb of Lazarus; Jericho; the Dead Sea and much more.

Accommodations will include staying at the Notre Dame Pontifical Center in Jerusalem, which was entrusted by Pope John Paul II to the care of the Legionaries of Christ since 2004.  Click here to see the brochure.
