Fr Mark Haydu LC’s first book will soon be published
in the US by Liguori Publications. Meditations on Vatican Art
beautifully blends two themes -- the art of the Vatican
Museums and the beauty of the spiritual life.

as Michelangelo, Raphael, Cortona, Cano, Poussin, Caravaggio, Pinturicchio and many
Fr. Mark selected the images in his book and
arranged them to follow the 28 days and 4 parts
of the Ignatian Spiritual Exercises: Creation, Sin, life of Jesus
Christ, and Resurrection. Each day includes a Scripture passage, a
reflection on the Scripture and the art, questions to ponder
and a spiritual exercise. Background on the artist and the
context will help the reader contemplate the image more deeply.

the Director of the Patrons of the Arts.
