Papal Delegate sets date for the General Assembly of the Consecrated Women of Regnum Christi

Cardinal Velasio
Cardinal Velasio De Paolis

Rome, Italy -- In the wake of the announcement of the upcoming General Chapter for the Legion of Christ early next year, Cardinal Velasio De Paolis has announced the date for the General Assembly of the Consecrated Women of the Regnum Christi movement, which will precede the General Chapter.

The Consecrated Assembly will take place in Rome, beginning December 2, 2013, and is projected to conclude on December 15, 2013.  It will be preceded by a week of spiritual exercises from November 23 – 30, 2013.

“The upcoming Assembly comes at the end of a long journey of spiritual renewal, is the first in the history of the Consecrated Women of Regnum Christi, and its principal purpose will be to conclude the revision of the Statutes,” wrote the Cardinal.

It is the goal of the Papal Delegate that all the consecrated women have a voice in the process.  Each territory will elect delegates to represent them in Rome.  Results of the election process should be available by the end of this month.
