Chicago, Illinois -- Fr. Nathaniel Haslam, LC, recently attended the
annual leadership convention for the US Hispanic Chamber of Commerce,
the largest business organization representing Latino interests in the US.
Fr. Nathaniel serves as the National Business Ethics Advisor for
About 6,000 business, political, media, education and non-profit leaders
from around the country attended the event at the Chicago
Hilton Hotel last month.
“I had the opportunity to give some
words at the luncheon as well as the invocation,” said
Fr. Nathaniel. “During the two days, it was amazing to
see how our charism was eagerly received, with many people
finding inspiration and direction.”
During the event, he also introduced Fr.
Michael Moriarty LC, and two of the consecrated women, Cecile
Martin-Houlgatte and Lauren Hawkesworth, all who serve in Chicago.
Fr. Nathaniel said
from the questions of those attending, asking for spiritual advice
and seeking to grow in their faith stewardship in their
local communities and businesses, that the ‘the harvest is plentiful
but the laborers are few.’”
