Chivalry at the Heart
Pinecrest Academy celebrates holiday with unique tradition

Pinecrest heart

Chivalry is alive and well at Pinecrest Academy in Cumming, Georgia, illustrated by the schools’ unique celebration of Valentine´s Day. The high school began this tradition in 2007.

This year on the first school day following February 14, 2014, while the high school girls observed from first, second and third floor windows, the 9th through 11th grade boys gathered behind the school to form the image of a giant heart. Then the 12th grade boys ran through the heart, forming an arrow.

Afterwards, the high school girls were invited to go outside and be presented with a flower through a receiving line at the doorway.
