The Congress sought to find new paths for men and women to find meaning in their lives.

QUERETARO, MEXICO- From February 25th-27th the sixth Women´s Congress organized by CEFIM, the Centro de formación integral de la Mujer (Center for the Integral Formation of Women), was held at the Hacienda Galindo de San Juan del Río with the participation of 179 women.

The congress covered two main themes: "Life Without Meaning" and "Opening Doors to Hope." The first day´s investigation demonstrated how industrialized society hasn´t satisfied the needs of the human person. Its companion, the consumerist society, is always creating new needs but they never satisfy either because they cannot respond to the most basic need: real meaning in life.

After this analysis, speakers showcased the true paths that lead to a recovery of values and Christian traditions that bring meaning. The talks were led by Legionaries of Christ Fathers Alejandro Ortega, Cipriano Sánchez and John Walsh.

moments of the congress was the testimony of Edith Eva Edger, who shared her experiences being a prisoner in the Auschwitz concentration camp during World War II.

The congress closed with the celebration of the Eucharist presided by His Eminence Cardinal Norberto Rivera Carrera, Archbishop of Mexico City. During his homily he exhorted the participants to continue promoting the new evangelization by living lives full of meaning.
