the papal delegate for the congregation of the Legionaries of
Christ, recently announced the names of the four personal councilors
who will help him in the task Pope Benedict XVI
assigned to him. Vatican Radio and the Vatican Information
Service have published the names:

the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity.
• Fr Gianfranco
Ghirlanda, SI, ex-rector of the Pontifical Gregorian University in
Rome.

Cremona, Italy.

for consecrated life of the diocese of Rome and vice-deacon
of the theology faculty of the Pontifical Lateran University.
In
addition, as the Holy See’s informative sources note, Archbishop Ricardo
Blázquez, the archbishop of Valladolid, Spain, will be the apostolic
visitator to the consecrated members of the Regnum Christi Movement. His
work will be carried out under the pontifical delegate’s authority,
according to the Holy See´s indications.
All of these positions were mentioned
in numbers 6 and 10 of the July 9, 2010
decree from the Secretary of State of the Holy See,
which provided further details about the pontifical delegate’s task.
We invite
our readers to pray for the councilors and the visitator,
and we thank God and the Holy Father for their
support.
