Providence, Rhode Island -- Regnum Christi consecrated woman Magdalena Faine and some students from Mater Ecclesiae College were featured in a photo and article in the Rhode Island Catholic newspaper recently.

The women joined other volunteers to help with a cleanup effort on April 21, 2013, of the Emmanuel House diocesan emergency overflow shelter in Providence, Rhode Island. The shelter grounds had become overgrown, according to the newspaper article.

Volunteers cleaned the grounds of trash, debris and brush. The shelter’s site director said she hopes the grounds can be used in the future as a community garden for residents and staff to grow flowers and vegetables.
