Closing the Year of Faith
Twenty-one Legionaries make vows during annual Mass of Professions

As the Year of Faith draws to a close, 21 Legionaries showed great faith by making vows of poverty, chastity and obedience during the annual Mass of Professions on Labor Day weekend 2013.

Renewing vows were:  Br. Ivair Watte, Br. Emilio Mitre, Br. James Wilson, Br. Brendan Matthews, Br. Edward Pineda, Br. Kevin Gillis, Br. Christopher Tappel and Br. Omar Acosta.

Perpetual vows were taken by Br. Terrance Allen, Br. Francisco Iñarittu and Br. Michael O’Connor.

Novices making their first vows included: Br. Joseph Mac-Naught, Br. Eduardo Moran , Br. Alphonse Choi, Br. Thomas More Kim, Br. David Lorenzo , Br. Michael Matthews, Br. Matthew Duncan, Br. Gustavo Godínez, Br. Sergio Colín and Br. Kevin O´Byrne.

Over 300 family members and friends were present for the Mass held at St. Bridget’s parish in Cheshire, Connecticut, with 49 Legionaries concelebrating the Mass with Territorial Director Fr. Luis Garza LC presiding.  A luncheon held at the seminary grounds

followed the Mass.
