March 15, 2009. Curitiba, Brazil. On March 1, 2009, 15
young women took a step of greater generosity with God
in the Regnum Christi Movement.
A total of 7 women consecrated their lives to God, while an additional 8 solemnly
renewed their promises. The solemn renewal of promises takes place
two years after consecration.
The ceremony was held in the
parish of St Blas, close to the formation center in
Curitiba, Brazil. About 600 people attended the Mass, which was
presided over by Father Manuel Aromir, LC, the territorial director
of Brazil. Two Legionary priests, Fathers Rafael Vizcaíno and Ángel
Llorente concelebrated. Two diocesan priests who are friends of the
young women’s families also concelebrated.
During the homily, Father Manuel Aromir
congratulated the young women and their families, commenting that this is
a key moment not only for them, but also for

their families and for the Movement, the Church, and the
entire world. Their witness of true love, unconditional self-giving, faith,
and hope is a beacon for the world, he said.
Father
Aromir also observed that Christ is the one who conquered
their hearts, and emphasized that they did not consecrate themselves
to an idea or to an abstract ideal, but to
a person: Jesus Christ.
After the celebration, the family members
came out to celebrate with their daughters. Some parents who
are Movement members reserved a restaurant so that the families
coming from other cities would have a place to eat
with their daughters.
In the afternoon, the women and their
families gathered at the formation center for a presentation on

the consecrated life. The parents of Juliana Stolf, a newly
consecrated member, gave their testimony. Afterwards, the choir sang a
few songs.
The day concluded with a solemn rosary, as
the guests prayed together for the fidelity and perseverance of
the 15 young women who had taken their step of
generosity with God.
