Rome, June 16, 2011. The apostolic visitator to the consecrated
men and women of Regnum Christi, Archbishop Ricardo Blázquez of
the archdiocese of Valladolid, Spain, concluded his apostolic visitation this
past June 7.
As announced last fall, the Holy
See gave Archbishop Blázquez the task of carrying out an
apostolic visitation to the consecrated members of Regnum Christi, in
coordination with Cardinal Velasio De Paolis, C.S., the papal delegate
for the Legion of Christ and the Regnum Christi Movement.
Archbishop
Blázquez is now writing up his report, which he will
turn in to the Holy See at the end of
the month. This document will contain his observations and recommendations
after interviewing the consecrated members and his analysis of the
information he received during the visitation. The Holy See will
then evaluate the report and will make the appropriate decisions
about future guidelines and statements.
