Calgary, Canada -- The Calgary Section honored our Blessed
Mother with a day of family fun earlier this year. With two Marian feasts approaching this month, the
Assumption of Mary on August 15 and the Queenship of
Mary on August 22, the event, which Calgary held in
May of this year, might be worth repeating by other
Regnum Christi sections and families.
Calling it the “Queenship of Mary
Adventure,” RC families were invited to a prayer “road rally”
of sorts. They were asked to visit five
area Marian churches to pray a decade of the rosary
at each, and then they met at a local park
for a picnic.
The men organized and provided the games to
get the kids active at
the picnic, and the women
had prepared a packet of materials for participants, including a
treasure map telling which churches to visit, and a rosary. Families also received a Mary “passport” with stickers
to put on the map after each church visit, and
had a Marian trivia question to solve.

To honor Mary in her apparition
as Our Lady of Fatima, celebrating its 95th anniversary this
year, participants also got a craft and mission package to
complete at home. Click here to for

Tara Coady, age 7,
said of the event, “I thought that it was very
holy, and it was very, very fun.”
