Cornwall, ON - On March 19,
the twelve Legionary priests, two brothers, and four consecrated women
who carry out their ministry in Canada gathered in Cornwall,
in order to finalize a Canada-wide 5-year apostolic projection plan.
The meeting was moderated by Fr John Gannon LC, who
stressed the need to work together – Legionaries, consecrated, and
lay members of the Movement – in order to fulfill
the mission that Jesus Christ has given us.
closing of the Apostolic School in Cornwall at the end
of this school year, the Legion will focus on its
work in Hamilton, Ontario; Montreal, Quebec; and Calgary, Alberta, home
of Clear Water Academy.
After the meetings, there was a
solemn concelebration in honor of St. Joseph, Protector of the
Legion and Patron of the Universal Church and of Canada.
Having gathered for the meeting, the Legionaries took advantage to
spend a few days of rest together in community and
to celebrate Rector’s Day on March 21 in typical Canadian
fashion: inviting the precandidates and apostolics for an intense game
