March 17, 2009. Rome, Italy. The EWTN series on salvation
history as seen through the art of the Vatican Museums
is airing the second episode this month. Art historian Elizabeth Lev is the main guide through the series, along
with Fr Mark Haydu, the International Director of the Patrons of the Vatican Museums Office.
In episode 2, Elizabeth
Lev begins the tour with Moses and the promise of
a Redeemer, and concludes with a look at the stories
of Genesis, as painted by Michelangelo himself. Father Mark Haydu,
LC, highlights the restoration of the Sistine Chapel, which was
completed for the Great Jubilee of the year 2000 with
the sponsorship of the Patrons of the Arts in the
Vatican Museums.
