Oxford, Michigan – Families and friends gathered at the Boulder Pointe golf and country club in Oxford, Michigan to enjoy time together during the annual Legion of Christ Auction. 

“It was a moment to enjoy a get-together with the larger family of the Legion and the Movement,” said Fr. Daniel Pajerski LC, who serves as Formation Director for the nearby Everest Academy and Everest Collegiate High School in Clarkston, Michigan.  “A big thanks goes out to Auction chair Theresa Radich who has organized the event for more than 5 years now.”

The event is held annually to support the houses of formation for the Legionaries and consecrated women of Regnum Christi in North America.

Highlights of the evening included testimonies given by local Legionary priests.  Newcomer, Fr. Daniel Weber, LC, told his listeners how his father had come to support his vocation only last year, just before his ordination.  “He was chosen to read the first reading in German, and choked up at the words, ‘this is my beloved son, today I have begotten you,’” he said.   

Fr. Thomas Salazar, LC, shared a “pictorial” testimony of his vocation story, with photos of his childhood and family life as he explained how God led him “little by little” to the realization of his call within the Legion.

At the end of the evening, the families of those with Legionary and consecrated vocations were recognized with flowers and applause.
