A new initiative, whose motto is: "God´s house is your house", promotes the reconstruction of churches damaged by earthquakes in El Salvador.
An initiative to help our brothers and sisters have a place to pray before our Lord again
"Rebuild my Church", was what our Lord told Saint Francis
of Assisi from the Cross one day when he was
praying in the then-broken down Church of San Damiano.
This was
the beginning of the Franciscan order, which started off repairing
nearby churches and then went on to "repair" and renew
the living Church of Chris.
Saint Francis of Assisi Project,
whose motto is: "God´s house is your house", promotes the
reconstruction of churches damaged by earthquakes in El Salvador. A
group of Regnum Christi members have united together to bring
back those churches that have been a testimony of faith
for so many men and women throughout history in El
Salvador. These Churches and small chapels have held the sacred
Body and Blood of our Lord for centuries and now
need our help so that our Lord may continue his
Many churches were destroyed during the recent earthquakes that hit El Salvador
presence amidst the Salvadoran people.
