The Legion of Christ opens it´s first Mano Amiga school in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

This past March 10th the Legion of
Christ and the Regnum Christi Movement took
a significant step in their service of the poor with
the opening of the Santa Maria Mano Amiga (Helping Hand)
school in Buenos Aires.
The preparation was long and arduous. Years
of work and sacrifice culminated in the first day of
classes at a former retreat center. The center is 8,000
square meters of land with some 6,000 square feet of
building space. The buildings are being modified to facilitate the
kindergarten classes which began this year with fifty students.

permanent site for the school is currently under construction and
will be equipped with all of the features proper to

the Mano Amiga educational program. These services are made possible
by the charitable efforts of many Regnum
Christi apostolates. The beautiful thing about the school is that
it will offer a complete education not only to the
children but to the parents as well, with numerous continuing
education classes and programs.
