| A lot of time and heart have gone into the preparation of this first YTM mission in Asia. | |
 |
For the first time missions organized by the Youth for
the Third Millennium have reached Asia, specifically in the Philippines.
For five days this November, from the 6th to the
10th, twenty youth missionaries went door to door visiting poor
families in Malvar, Batangas. Malvar is a two-hour drive from
the capital city, Manila.
The twenty-one missionaries, eager and ready to
serve, consisted of eleven young men and eight young women
from the three most prominent universities in the area, namely
UA&P, Ateneo, and La Salle. Leading them were Father Daniel
Polzer, a priest of the Legionaries of Christ, and Marcelo
and Mimi Fiaes, a Regnum Christi couple dedicating their lives
to evangelization.
Their mission was to spend time with the
families of the surrounding parishes, inviting them to prayer and
to participate in the sacraments on a regular basis, as
well as attending to their physical and spiritual needs.

of the families they visited. In addition, that this mission
may be the precursor of many missions organized by YTM
in the Philippines.
