Classrooms can be locales for spreading the good news ...
Students preparing for the mission.
For the second time «Volunteers in Aktion» from Austria and
Germany found a creative way to evangelize within the classrooms
of a school in Wullersdorf. A few days before a
door-to-door parish mission was to take place near Vienna, these
young people presented what the mission was about to students
during their religion classes. The missions followed shortly thereafter on
12 October.
The themes that they spoke to the students
about were varied, ranging from the dangers of new sects
to the need for a personal and loving friendship with
Christ in order to persevere in the faith. As any
other teacher would do, the missionaries left the students some

"homework" to help them prepare for the mission such as
reading a few passages from the Gospel and gathering some
clothing for the less fortunate to be distributed during the
mission.
The students were very pleasantly surprised by this creative new
way of spreading the faith and showed a great interest
in growing closer to our Lord.
