Since the day we were married everything has been so
incredible: our honeymoon, our trip to Monterrey, the 3,000 km
journey to El Salvador. We have felt like we are
in family, with the hope of helping Regnum Christi to
grow here in El Salvador lending a hand to those
who are already giving so much of themselves to fulfill
this same mission.
We have been graced with having the
opportunity to see the beautiful results of our work here
as co-workers. One example of this is a boy from
Guatemala who we visited once a month and now is
on his way to the minor seminary, even though he
had not been able to join the boys club being
that he lived too far away. There is no doubt
that God is at work within our souls but his
rhythm and logic are quite different from our own. God

has showered every kind of blessing on us in our
marriage, our work, our lives because he is a loving
Father. My only hope is that I will live with
enough faith to always be faithful when the going gets
tough.
The more I learn about Full-Time Catechists, the more
I am surprised by its magnitude. It encompasses everything and
everyone: Bishops, Pastors, businessmen, Regnum Christi members like myself, everyone
who wants to serve the Church. The work of those
who preceded me was excellent. They trained a group of
Catechists with a solid formation and great apostolic zeal. The
grandeur of the mission is impressive, as it always has
been since my days as a coworker. I have been
here for a while and I still have not
been able to cover all the areas that I am
responsible for. I need to get to know the 75

evangelizers, their Pastors, their families, and where they work. Yet
each day I wake up with a renewed desire to
work and I feel extremely blessed to be able to
lend a hand in this program. Each day brings new
battles against the enemies of the Church and the enemies
of my soul but I know that Christ is with
me, that he confides in me for this mission so
I have every reason to trust in him as well.
Each day I ask our Lord that he fill me
with himself so I can share him with others. If
I am not filled with him, than I´ll be wasting
my time.
We live very close to where we work
so Ale and myself can eat together every day. I´m
falling more and more in love with her. I admire
her so much because she is just a wonderful companion
who gives of herself in everything that she does and
with her feminine qualities she turns our house into a
home.
We have absloutely everything that we need: God, work,
apostolate, enough money, a truck to be able to bring
God´s word to others, and a very nice house. We
have so much that sometimes we get nervous knowing that
God asks for much from those who he has given
much. But I believe that everything has its moment and
for now we just have to faithful with what God
is asking from us presently. The future is in God´s
hands. May he help us to be holy and faithful.
My apostolate will be giving spiritual support to all of
the other Catechists and Ale will be helping out with
Familia Unida, an apostolate to help unite families.
Affectionately, Andres
