March 23, 2011 -- Do you ever wonder if you
are pushing your child too much…or not enough? Do you
wonder if your discipline sends your children “over the edge”?
Are you really helping them? Why does it seem you
fall into the same old traps all the time? Is
there a better way to discipline?
If these thoughts about
your parenting have ever crossed your mind, then mark your
calendars for 8:00 pm CST, April 7, 2011. This event
-- the third in a series of online Familia
workshops on marriage -- will highlight the topic “Discipline that
Honors Our Family.”
Fr. Michael Sliney LC will present the
topic, intended to help parents “lead and guide [their children]
with confidence, knowing that [their] instruction is helping them, and
not setting up roadblocks.”
“Fr. Sliney will speak to us about
discipline that honors the child and reflects the dignity of
the parent,” said Jean Stolpestad, communications coordinator for Familia, an
apostolate of Mission Network. For more information on Familia, go
