January 12, 2010. Atlanta, Georgia. Today’s teen and tween-age girls
grow up conversant in technology, texting, chatting, and Facebooking, all
the while jamming to their iPod. In some ways, they
speak a language and live in a world all their
own. Ever wonder how to communicate with them more effectively?
A one-day conference entitled “My iGirl: How She’s
Wired and How to Connect,” intends to answer just that
question. The conference, to be held in Callaway Gardens, Atlanta
on Saturday, January 23, aims to help parents, DREs, and
youth ministers understand and communicate better with today’s techno-savvy girls.

The conference will
look at today’s teenage girl from a variety of perspectives,
covering the spiritual, social, physiological, and psychological aspects that make
her tick… or click.
The main presenters for the conference are
consecrated woman Maria Knuth, author of “My iGirl: How
She’s Wired and How to Connect” and Melissa Foley, Director
