More than fifty Regnum Christi women attended
a weekend retreat, the annual triduum of renewal, at the
Cenacle Retreat House in Houston the weekend of January 10-12,
2003. The goal was to give attendees the opportunity to
open their souls to the tranforming power of grace and
to reinvigorate their call to holiness.
The meditations were led
by Father Ned Brown, LC, and included topics such as
"Developing the Interior Life" and the "Program of Life" for
personal growth in holiness. The women travelled from as
far as Amarillo and Brownsville and did so joyfully with
the opportunity to renew their baptismal commitments.
Father Ned emphasized the
need to understand our dignity as creatures of God.
God constantly bestows blessings on us and we must
recognize his goodness and respond generously.
Some of the
responses showed the fruits harvested by the attendees. One
woman said she was reminded to pray for trust in
God, and to rid herself of anxiety. Another said
meditations taught her that God will show her His miracle
by opening up to Him regarding the meaning of her
life. A third attendee most benefitted from learning to
look for qualities of Christ in her spouse, to love
her spouse through Christ.
