We depend entirely on the support of our families, friends
and benefactors to help cover the costs associated with our
sustenance. Because Christ still calls young women to consecrate their
lives to him, we strive to continue to accept and
nourish these vocations.
All gifts, no matter the size, make an
impact beyond mere dollars and cents. Regardless of the amount,
by giving you express your care for consecrated women and
participate in the Church’s evangelizing mission, which they are preparing
to serve. Strong participation also broadens our base of supporters.
The
cost to help a consecrated woman through her formation years
is $16,265 a year. With your generous support, the consecrated
women will prepare to dedicate themselves to Christ and the
Church, and build a civilization of justice and love based
on Christian and human values.
Pope Benedict asked the youth at
World Youth Day in Australia a profound question that all
of us, young and old alike, need to ask ourselves:
“What
will you leave to the next generation? Are you building
your lives on firm foundations, building something that will endure?
Are you living your lives in a way that opens
up space for the Spirit in the midst of a
world that wants to forget God, or even rejects him
in the name of a falsely-conceived freedom? How are you
using the gifts you have been given, the ‘power’ which
the Holy Spirit is even now prepared to release within
you? What legacy will you leave to young people yet
to come? What difference will you make?”
