Meet the Renewal Delegates 24 Susan Kingsley: Colorado/Wyoming

Thy Kingdom Come!

Dear Regnum Christi Family in Christ,

As the delegate from Colorado/Wyoming, I would like to Introduce myself. Chris and I have been married almost 25 years and we have 5 beautiful children. Our oldest son is in the US Navy, our younger son lives and works in Colorado and our oldest daughter attends school in Montana. Our 2 youngest daughters are still home – where I homeschool them. I have been a member of Regnum Christi for 10 years.

My journey into to Movement started with a K4J camp in San Jose, California. After getting to know a few Legionary of Christ brothers and priests, and learning about the Legionaries’ elementary school, Canyon Heights Academy, I was intrigued by the way RC members lived out their faith. Charity and evangelical zeal combined with a deep faith and love for Christ and His Church is what attracted me most to the Movement. Eventually my husband and I enrolled our 4 oldest children in Canyon Heights in 2005.   Since then I have been involved in team life, studies, retreats, Conquest, Challenge and family missions.   In 2008 we moved to the Denver, Colorado area where I have continued in Apostolates and life in the Movement here. Currently I am the Women’s Section Director of Northern Colorado.

Over the years through the ups and downs of family life and even ups and downs of the Movement, Christ has shown his great love for me by giving me a “family” in the Legionary brothers in Christ, the Consecrated Women and my fellow lay sisters and brothers.   Team life and retreats especially have helped me deepen my relationship with Christ and helped me to be an effective apostle not only in our Regnum Christi apostolates but in my parish community.  In my parish community I serve as an ENDOW facilitator, lector and mass coordinator. I have been involved with bible studies, moms’ groups, and been on our Adult Faith Formation team at church. I truly believe that what I have gained through the Movement’s formation has been a benefit to the body of Christ.   I praise God for the gift of Regnum Christi to and for the Church and the world.

I know Christ has a plan for all of us. I am confident that He has called me to Regnum Christi and I look forward to continuing this renewal process with all of you.   I thank my fellow RC members in CO/WY for their confidence, and I ask for prayers for all of the delegates as we go forth, as the love of Christ impels us.

In Christ and the Movement,

Susan Kingsley
